Summary:
Through the SunWatts Program, Trico Electric Cooperative offers home and business owners a rebate for installing photovoltaic systems and wind energy systems. The rebate for systems up to 25 kilowatts (kW) is $4 per watt-DC. Systems sized 25.1 kW up to 50 kW can receive $3 per watt. Systems sized 50.1 kW or greater may apply for an incentive determined on a case-by-case basis. Eligible PV and wind energy systems may be either grid-tied or off-grid. Note that customers receive no credit or payment for excess generation that flows back to the grid. Trico Electric Cooperative also provides rebates for OG-300 certified solar water heating systems. The incentive is worth $0.75 per expected first year kWh savings.

No incentive can exceed 50% of the total system cost.
