Summary:
Through the SunWatts Program, Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) offers home and business owners a rebate of $4/W DC for installing photovoltaic, wind and biomass systems up to 20 kilowatts (kW). Larger systems may be eleigible for a rebate to be determined on a case-by-case basis. Systems must be grid-connected to be eligible for the rebate. Note that customers receive no credit or payment for excess generation that flows back to the grid. SSVEC also provides a $1,500 incentive to builders of new homes who install a 2 kW system or larger. This rebate is in addtion to the residential rebate program, which targets the homeowner.

Solar water heating systems can also receive a rebate from SSVEC worth $0.75 per estimated first year kWh savings.

No incentive can exceed 50% of the total system cost.

SSVEC's rebate program can be combined with their loan program.
