Summary:
Entergy Arkansas has a variety of programs for their residential customers to learn about energy efficiency and make energy efficient improvements to their homes. The Residential Energy Solutions Quick Start Program provides customers with access to an Energy Efficiency Solutions Center representative, who can guide the customer to energy solution tips, to an on-line tool to help them calculate potential energy savings in their home, and to the opportunity for a walk-through energy assessment of their home. If a customer that has a walk-though energy assessment of their home decides to make some of the recommended improvements within 45 days of the assessment, they will receive an incentive from the utility. The incentive, which is in the form of dollar-off coupons, is $329/kW for peak demand reductions. These coupons are treated like cash and can be submitted to participating partnering contractors to offset a portion of the upgrade cost. The contractor then redeems the coupons with the Entergy Arkansas program administrator for reimbursement. Eligible projects include duct efficiency improvements, air sealing, ceiling insulation, replacement of incandescents with CFLs, and HVAC improvements.
Entergy Arkansas also offers the Residential & Small Commercial A/C Tune-up Program. Under this program, customers agree to a have a high-performance tune-up evaluation done by a pre-approved contractor. The contractor, who has been trained by Entergy Arkansas, conducts the evaluation with program-specified tools and procedures. If the evaluation identifies system inefficiencies, the contractor educates the customer of the recommended improvements. For eligible efficiency improvements, the customer receives an incentive dollars-off coupon of up to $75 towards the work needed.
Interested customers should call the Energy Efficiency Solutions Center at 1-877-212-2420 and speak to an Energy Solutions Representative, or contact a participating contractor directly.
