Summary:
SWEPCO Arkansas offers a heating and cooling rebate for residential and small business customers in their service territory. Small commercial entities must have a maximum peak electric demand less than 100 kW in order to be eligible for this program. These rebates are only for the replacement of an existing central air conditioner or heat pump; new construction, fuel switching measures, and window and room air conditioners are not eligible. Equipment must be purchased from and installed by a participating contractor. Central air conditioners and heat pumps must be Energy Star rated and surpass current minimum standards. Units must have a SEER rating of 14.0 or greater and an EER rating of 11.5 or more. Heat pumps must have a minimum ARI-listed HSPF rating of 8.2. Exact rebate amounts vary depending on the size and efficiency of the equipment. A table of rebate amounts can be found on the program website. The rebate application form, which can also be found on the program website, must be turned in within 30 days of equipment purchase.
