Summary:
Empire District Electric Company offers the A/C Tune-Up rebate program to its Arkansas customers in order to improve the energy efficiency and life span of central air conditioning units and heat pumps by encouraging inspections and tune-ups. Rebates of $30 are available to residential customers and small commercial customers that receive service under the CB rate schedule. Any air conditioning system (including heat pumps) of 5 tons or less that has not had a tune-up within the last three years is eligible for this program. Applications must be received within 60 days of service, and must include a copy of the sale receipt or paid invoice from a professional heating and cooling inspection and tune-up service with the date of service, dealer name and address, itemized list of service check-points, and any repair recommendations.
